Thanks for the shitty game!

This was a fun platformer to complete. I love that as you ascend, you receive more powerups. Whenever you mess up, you have an easier time getting back to where you were because of the upgrades to your jump and your speed.

Excuse time. You have to hold spacebar to extend your jump. However, this is a bit contradictory to the ledge holding mechanic. When you reach the ledge, if you were holding jump previously, you automatically jump up from the ledge. I wasn't expecting this the first time so I lost quite a bit of progress. After that, I have no other excuse other than being bad.

Tight controls and crisp sound effects make for a great platformer. I just wish there was more.

Nice time!

Thanks for playing yo.

And I really appreciate all the feedback.

This was quite an enjoyable little experience. I love how fluid and exaggerated the animation feels. I'll definitely check out this project in the future and see how it goes. Thanks for the experience!

You know what this reminds me of? Gradius -- a primitive form, though.

The background can conflict with the foreground. Some of the enemies spawn on the very edge of the screen, and it's caused a death or two without realizing that they were there. This is more on the nitpicky side, though.

I'd say if you added more patterns, and enemy designs... possibly a new or different background, this would be a FANTASTIC minimalist game. I don't know if that's what you were going for, though. I like it a lot -- music and concept. The idea of a gem or point giver that spawns at the center of the, er, recoil, adds slightly more of a risk reward type factor, too, which I like.

jupitron responds:

Nice, ill make some changes.

Random Flash

I don't really understand the concept, but maybe that's because I've never played Pyroscape 1 or 2. This game does make me want to play them both, though!

Good:
- Humor
- Easy controls and difficulty
- Medals
- Music

Bad:
- Too short

Making videos like this to be perfect is hard, though, so it's understandable. Everything is original and random, and I did have a few good laughs. Great flash!

MonoFlauta responds:

great, glad you like it, yeah maybe too short, you should check Pyro 1 and 2!
Thanks for reviewgin

Viral Sensation

I have played the first game before, but it wasn't as remotely fun as the sequel! The simplicity of the game (moving germs into blood cells) kept things flowing, for there were simple tasks such as: infecting a certain amount of blood cells, or surviving for a certain amount of time.

Good--
- Evolved graphics (much better)
- Different music to set the type of mood
- Replay value (such as high scores)
- Medals (goes with replay value)
- Concept, and slight storyline

I think I made it far into the game, about stage 15, before writing this review. I was planning on writing the review later, but there were some problems that did make me impatient with the game.

Bad--
- Small screen to play on
- Mouse function
- Lag

The small screen is easy to ignore; it's only bothersome in the first stage, and in stage 15 (and beyond, and I imagine). The mouse would sometimes pick the wrong germ for me, such as immune and not immune, so I would lose a germ in survival. The lag, however, is what really stopped me. As I tried to regrow the germs, the lag didn't allow me to move my germ at all, hitting a white cell and dying.

Overall--
infect. evolve. repeat. 2 is an excellent execution of moving objects around to survive. Some parts could use some "polishing," but HeRetiK has made a huge improvement to the last one.

Explore and Survive...

To summarize, you crash-land on some planet, and you look for other survivors. A simple concept makes a great game! Though, there were some minor problems that made the gameplay a bit rough. I'll begin with the better aspects:

Good--
- Simplicity
- Storyline is better than other games (meaning you'll want to read what the soldiers say
- Game mechanics (such as health, etc.)
- Enemy A.I., not too insane, but challenging
- Though not necessary, the point system
- Graphics
- Achievements
I didn't play the game for too long, so I don't know if the enemies get way harder. I made it to the outside levels and farther.

Bad--
- Control scheme
- Somewhat repetitive music

The control scheme didn't suit me at all. I myself found it frustrating to press the spacebar to jump than to just press the up arrow key. I found it confusing and would sometimes bomb myself, or accidentally talk to a soldier. The music is okay, but to me, it became boring after a while. I'm glad I can mute it.

Overall--
This is a game that could use some polishing, but I enjoy everything else about it. It compels me to finish the game. One last thing that would really make me play is if you ask for medals. I would make sure to finish playing should medals be installed. Great game, overall.

Thanks for your review! :)

Launch into Gummies.

Although the idea of launching is overused, the originality of the game itself is outstanding! Gummy bears and a burrito bison are a great match.

Good--
- Original Music
- Upgrades are Original
- Smooth Gameplay
- Sense of Humor
The game keeps interest to max out all upgrades, and achieve every medal possible.

Bad--
- Time to Upgrade
This is the only minor flaw I can see in the game. In the first minute, there is a very slow start since the bison could only launch a little, and the gummy bears barely helped (no pun intended.) However, it also kept the game alive to continue to try

Overall--
This game is something I'll keep coming back to, even after all medals are achieved. I constantly kept trying to beat my score. Great job!

Amazing

It's very easy to follow. The gameplay is incredible, and you'll be sure to come back every time.

Trial and Error

I understand what was trying to be accomplished. It's a point-and-click mystery and adventure game, which is fine. However, the gameplay needs to be enhanced. Basically, if you know how to use your mouse and process of elimination, you'll pass the game, which is not very fun. To improve your future games based on this, create better puzzles that don't just involve the player aimlessly clicking the entire time.

Also, create better checkpoints. I dislike it when I have to start the entire game over again. The sound effects should also be polished up, and adding music would help. The animation could also use some more work... not that I could do any better.

Good effort!

I'm lazy, but I have learned to use it to my advantage over the years, I suppose. If you want a quick laugh, read through my news posts and the comments.
lmao no one's gonna see this
